This weekend (July 28-30th) I'll be down in Downieville for the Downieville Classic - a radical downhill mountain bike race covering 14+ miles of jaw dropping singletrack.
I'm going to be putting to use my new SB800 wireless flash units to the test with this one! With hot temperatures, gritty dirt flying through the air, and mt. bikers flying by at breakneck speeds, I'm hoping to help freeze the motion with the flash, while panning and draggin' my shutter speed to get a real sense of motion. By using 2-3 wireless flash's I can be sure to have enough cumulative power to "overpower" the ambient broad daylight and be able to control how bright/dark the background is.
I'll post examples after this weekends event!
